The longer the HDMI transmission lines are, the greater the attenuation losses will be, eventually leading to a complete signal dropout. In the threshold range the picture gets more and more “wintery with snow sleet”, a so-called image noise occurs.
The repeater provides a signal gain over a total distance of 40 m. With such long distances we recommend an HDMI cable cross-section of AWG 24. The input distance may be as long as 5 m – at the output another 35 m may be connected. We point to the fact that the max. transmission distance depends on the quality of cable and workmanship and also on the signal transmission of the peripheral equipment.
Optionally a 5 V power supply may be connected. (recommended from an output lenght of 20 m)
