Besides the transmission of the high-resolution 1080p video signal, the HD-SDI transmission also offers the simultaneous embedding of extra data such as 16 picture-synchronous audio channels (AES-3 according to SMPTE 272M and 299M), timecode control data and troubleshooting packages. This saves additional audio or control lines. For the large bandwidths of 3G-SDI (2.97 Gbit/s according to SMPTE 424M) our 3G-SDI cable series is the perfect means of transport. Super low attenuation values of below 30 dBs @ 2.97 Gbit/s are achieved due to the large 1.6 OFC inner conductor with its special gas-injected skin-foam-skin insulation and double shielding. The solid wire version is perfect for professional media installations in TV studios and OB vans, whereas the reelable litz version demonstrates its flexible benefits with mobile transmissions.
