High-Z Direct Box – the specialist!
With these specialists very demanding signal sources can be adapted to microphone inputs. The ultra-grade special transformers from Swedish manufacturer
LUNDAHL with 22 dB or 28 dB of attenuation that we use can handle even very high input levels. And this combined with super low distortions and an absolutely neutral behaviour – even down to sub-low frequencies. These specialists are ideal for the direct connection of old analogue synthesizers or string instruments to mixing consoles or preamps, especially if the instrument has no active electronics of its own.
Each channel has two bridged jack sockets, if required the groundlift switch can link the input and output earths. The output signals are present on male XLR connectors. The I/P impedance selector is used to switch between the normal 280 k input impedance and the high 560 k impedance setting. For technical reasons the HIGH position is coupled with the greater attenuation of 28 dB.
