The modular 4K UHD matrix with 16 slots for audio, video and media......from CARDINAL DVM puts an end to fixed input and output configurations - because a total of 16 slots are available for HDMI, HDBaseT, VGA or audio plug-in cards. 12 of the slots can be used for either input or output cards, while the other 4 slots accommodate output cards only. This allows configurations from 1-to-15 to 12-to-4. Each video card is equipped with an extensive EDID management as well as a HighEnd scaling chip, which always ensures the best picture quality and an optimized aspect ratio. The HDMI as well as HDBaseT input and output cards support UHD signals with up to 60 frames per second (4K60) and thereby the current encryption standard HDCP2.2. In addition, the power supply of the connected HDBaseT components is supported by means of the official PoH standard. All extender systems including wall plates from CARDINAL DVM can be operated with this. All cards also offer analog audio connections via Euroblock connectors. The HDBaseT cards are also equipped with an additional RS232 interface for direct tunneling of control data. The additional audio card DVM-HDBT-M-OAU provides a mic/line input and extensive audio mixing capabilities for two outputs. At the speed of light …Data-intensive HD signals often cause problems with transmission distances above 10 m (32.8 ft.)! The new HDMI®-over-FIBER system from CARDINAL-DVM enables those signals to be transmitted error-free, together with RS232 and infrared information, over distances of up to 300 m (984 ft.) using a single OM3-multimode line. Hereby EDID data are transmitted bi-directionally, and the HDCP copy protection standard is supported up to version 2.2. The integrated EDID manager assists a stress-free and dependable handling of HDMI signals. EDID data sets can be saved and retrieved, the EDID communication can be frozen or simply set to “pathtrough“ which requires the DVM-HDF-USBADAP adapter cable and the PC software. We have integrated the technology into the sturdy and compact housing (known from the DVM-120 series) as a stand-alone version measuring 68 x 36 x 132 mm (2.67 x 1.42 x 5.2 in.). The connectors for power supply, HDMI® and IR/RS232 are robust HICON all-metal types and thus perfectly suitable for the tough use “on the road”.
