HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is an all-digital interface that was developed by the consumer electronics branch in cooperation with the motion picture industry. HDMI transmits digital video and multi-channel audio data loss-free and bi-directional without data compression via a 19-pole compact connector with a max. bandwidth of 18,0 Gbit/s (HDMI® 2.0) or 10.22 Gbit/s (HDMI®1.4) [max. resolution UHD/4K@60fps). A audio return channel (ARC) as well as the ethernet function are integrated. A universal remote control of all devices connected via HDMI is possible with the built-in AV link protocol.

This HDMI® High Speed cable with Ethernet offers a first-class connection thanks to its gold-plated contacts and a flat design that ensures reliable transmission and easy handling.

Snow falls over the trees...The longer the HDMI transmission lines are, the greater the attenuation losses will be, eventually leading to a complete signal dropout. In the threshold range the picture gets more and more “wintery with snow sleet”, a so-called image noise occurs.The repeater provides a signal gain over a total distance of 40 m. With such long distances we recommend an HDMI cable cross-section of AWG 24. The input distance may be as long as 5 m – at the output another 35 m may be connected.
