Developed in 1926 by the company Hirschmann GmbH, the are considered to be the forerunners of today's today's banana plugs, which owe their name to the banana-shaped leaf spring tip. The 4 mm version is still used today for almost all HiFi loudspeaker connections in the upper quality classes.
The gold-plated, angled cable lug with a fork width of 7.7 mm is ideal for conductor cross-sections from 4.0 mm² to 8.0 mm². Recommended for cables such as SC-DUAL BLUE, SC-QUADRA BLUE and SC-ECLIPSE SPQ240 MKII, it offers cable strain relief for maximum diameters of 6.0 mm and is angled at 25°.
