Customize your cable - Individual XLR cables

Like a perfect tailor-made suit ...

...our ready-made microphone, AES/EBU and DMX cables will fit your audio rental inventory. By using our large, fully modular assembly kit you can individually design your custom cable, individually selecting not only the color of the cable, but the color of rings and sleeves as well.

Different cable labeling options enable good theft protection and easy recognition of cable lengths by color markings, etc. As extra options we also offer you:

the ability to mark the jacket after the fact using labels slipped in under a transparent heat-shrink sleeve.
the ability to label the XLR connector after the fact using a 6 mm / 1/4“ sticker under a transparent ring. (Last two letters of product code will then be TR.)

A third option is printing your logo or company name directly on the cable jacket itself. A fourth option, available from a certain purchase quanity, is printing your message on the cable velcro strap.

The way to your desired cable

In the following, we will show you step by step how to select the individual components up to the finished cable of your choice, i.e. your individual article number for immediate pricing and fast order processing.

1. Pick your cable

Pick your cable according to the following table and note the three-digit cable code for the first three digits of your individual 16-digit article number. Then scroll down to point 2.

The following ordering example, for which we show an example article number in each step, serves as a guide:

2. Pick your connectors

Pick your XLR connectors and place the connector code in positions 4 and 5 after the three-digit cable code you have already selected. Then continue to point 3.

3. Custom combination of sleeve/color code ring/heat-shrink tubing

Select your desired combination of sleeve, color code ring and 5 cm/2" long transparent heat-shrink tubing and place the one-digit code in the 6th position of your individual item number. The color of the sleeve and rings is selected in the last step.

Note: For one-sided color coding (Q or P), the side with the male plug is coded.

4. Pick cable length

Select the desired length for your cable as a 4-digit specification in cm and add this to the next 4 digits of your individual article number (digits 7-10).

5. Pick your cable velcro strap

If you require a cable velcro strap (with metal eye), select it from the following table and put the code in the 11th position. The velcro strap will be deliverd fitted on the side of the male connector. We use high-quality velcro straps with metal eyelets and always select the right size for the cable length.

6. Pick cable color

Select your cable color and add the two-digit code to positions 12 and 13 (possible colors per cable - see first table "Pick your cable").

7. Color of sleeves

Select the color of the sleeves (cover caps) according to the following chart for the 14th digit of your individual article number.

8. Color code rings

The last two digits (15+16) represent the color of the coding rings.

*With the PR option, we offer the possibility of attaching customer-specific printed labels (4-color printing) under transparent coding rings ex works. This is possible from a minimum order quantity of 50 cables (also mixed lengths).
