Julian Wolf
Julian Wolf was born on 27 September 1998 in Radebeul, Saxony. He started playing the drums at the age of three. Julian Wolf has also been a guitarist since the age of six. During his primary and secondary school years, the guitarist gained new musical experiences in various band formations and acquired knowledge of music theory and improvisation. In October 2016, the lead guitarist and composer founded the funk-rock band Funk Fragment, with which he wrote his own songs between 2017 and 2019, rearranged well-known songs and performed at more than 30 concerts (including at the Hurricane Festival 2018). His influences include musicians such as Eric Clapton, Paul Gilbert, Peter Frampton, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Genesis, Frank Zappa, Supertramp, Paul McCartney, Robert Johnson and BB King. In 2019, Wolf presented his debut album ‘Demos & Covers’ on his European tour. In 2023, Julian Wolf completed 60 concerts in Germany as part of his so-called ‘Einzelshows’ tour. Performing mainly in the Free State of Saxony, the Radebeul guitarist also travelled to Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Bremen, performing at musical readings, dinner concerts and private events. At the end of the year, Wolf released three music videos that were created in May 2021 for the music platform ‘StreamDD’.
