Converters

Different transmission formats are not compatible. A converter is required for conversion. Such units are easily realized for analog use.
To convert analog TV-signals into image signals for PC-technology, analog-digital converters that recalculate the image line by line on a digital level are needed. This also applies for the conversion to digital TV-formats (SDI).
