| Audio | General information STAGEBOXES & MULTIPAIR SYSTEMS The thing that unites us musicians... is the stagebox. This unit groups input signals receiving from stage instruments and then channels them to the sound mixer in the concert hall. Output connectors are used to plug in stage monitors and transmit the master signal. For this reason the in- and output connectors on the stagebox are designed in pairs, for example: 16 inputs and 4 outputs, or 24 inputs and 8 outputs, etc. Microphone cables are always balanced (i.e. 2 individual wires + shielding) Different stagebox configurations are possible for each area of use. For example: For short distances on stage we recommend a stagebox of 8 up to 24 channels with a multipair cable directly connected up to the box (2) + (3). These systems are suitable for a cable length of up to 33 meters. Starting at 32 channels we recommend a different configuration: A multipin mounting plug (4) is installed on the floor stagebox and the multipair cable is wound on a cable drum. For all directly wired stagebox systems the stated cable length includes the inside wiring (approx. 0.4 m). All multipin systems are delivered with multipin protection sleeves! ![]() An even better solution would be to install the stagebox in a 19" rack (1) and equip it with standard multipin connectors. Important to know: On the audio market there is no such thing as a standard configuration. It is up to you, the user, to decide whether a ”multipin-female” or a ”multipinmale” should be installed on the box, the extension cable, or the adapter. To ensure a certain compatibility when using parts from other suppliers we recommend fitting the box and the splice adapter with multipin plugs and also the use of multipin sockets on each end of the extension piece. Of course there are many special solutions available, depending on the area of application. Here the SYSBOXX is simply ideal. Details are available under www.sysboxx.com.
