| Broadcasting / video / media | Video cable RGB (YUV) COMPONENT CABLE Frustrated about losses? A YUV-cable is also called a "color differential cable" and consists of three separate unbalanced 75 Ohm cables. It is mostly used for connections in video technology (for example on "progressive scan projectors") and to connect DVD-players. The YUV-signal is stored, and it is desirable to transmit this signal to other units free of losses. The YUV-signal is also suitable for the transmission of "progressive PAL/ NTSC" signals. For transmission of an HDTV-format the special development cable SC-VECTOR is recommended. To obtain a perfect image signal a transmission length of 20 m should not be exceeded. But if this should be required, the TRANSIT 3 is recommended. Here transmission over a length of more than 50 m is no problem. We supply two types of YUV-cables: The highly flexible TRANSIT Mini Flex as a round cable with gold-plated and Delrim-insulated HICON cinch plugs HI-CM06 and the flat version SC-ALTERA SPLIT, manufactured with gold-plated Teflon-insulated cinch plug HICON HI-CM12 with bend protection. The later is especially suitable for YUV-applications, because a crimping connection compared to a soldered connection will ensure a lower contact resistance, i.e. losses at the connection between cable and plug are almost impossible. The SC-ALTERA SPLIT is supplied in a high quality presentation box shaped like a film reel! APPLICATION:
