Some looms do not have high demands placed upon them or need to impress with a lot of plug cycles. That is the reason why we supply not 2, but 3 quality levels: The BASIC is made with our numbered studio or stage multipair SC-QUANTUM HIGHFLEX and is equipped with reasonably priced, very solid plug connectors made by HICON. The PROFESSIONAL is supplied with Neutrik plug connectors. This version is mainly use in professional studios where the studio technicians place great emphasis on linear transmission and perfect shielding. The SC-QUANTUM HIGHFLEX complies with the 110 Ohm AES/EBU or DMX-standard, which makes it suitable for both analog and digital operation. For some versions we also have an additional quality using the SC-PEGASUS, probably the best audio multipair available on the market. It is cross-wired and supplied with gold-plated XLR-connectors made by NEUTRIK. With a capacity or only 35 pF wire/wire and triple shielding (copper spiral + foil on each wire pair + copper braided overall shielding) it is the absolute reference cable in studio technologies. The SC-PEGASUS can either be used analog or (when cross-wired) digital. Attention: Usually professional users only use looms with 4 or 8 pairs, because multipairs with more than 8 pairs are very heavy and the printer connections for the assembly sockets are practically pried out of some synthesizers, work stations, mixing boards, or other units.
