or better said, you will be able to reach the simple speed of light with our SC-OCTOPUS PUR LWL cable. With this cable you can transmit your audio-digital signals across distances of up to 2 km. A total of 2 or 4 fibres with a core diameter of either 50/125µ (multi mode) or 9/125µ (single mode) are housed in a robust PUR-jacket with a diameter of approx. 6 mm (2 fibres = 5 mm) with die-electric protection (rodent protection). The SC-OCTOPUS PUR LWL is windable, robust, and thus ideally suitable for mobile applications. Further information can be found under “Bulk Cables“.
We supply the SC-OCTOPUS PUR premade with NEUTRIK OpticalCon (2 fibres) with ST- or SC-connectors (4 fibres) incl. measuring protocol (other configurations upon request).The OpticalCon connector made by NEUTRIK is based on an optical LC-duplex standard connection and consists of a chassis and a cable plug housing. The robust system protects the cable and the LC-plug from soilding, with an automatically locking protection cap with silicon seal. The OpticalCon connector can be locked with the push-pull principle and has a robust strain relief. The PUR LWL-cable is usually supplied with 2 fibres multi mode 50/125µ or single mode 9/125µ.

We supply a special version of the OpticalCon (upon request) with a multi mode 50/125µ PUR-cable with four additional copper wires AWG18 for power and data transmission (overall diameter 9 mm) and the single mode 9/125µ cable with 2 x AWG14/16 (overall diameter 9.2 mm - but here with PVC instead of PUR).
