| Connectors | Multipin audio EDAC The classic one... among multipins is the EDAC-516-plug connector still to be found in the studio setting today. It consists of the contact carrier with a screw or a nut as counter-piece. It is really ingenious that only one contact version/size is required, simply to be inserted into the pickup on the contact carrier either horizontally or vertically. The contacts are available as a soldered or crimped version. Contact is made by the horizontal and vertical contact forks contacting each other. There are 4 types of plug connectors: A: contact carrier male with screw - contacts are all in horizontal position B: contact carrie male with nut - contacts are all in horizontal position C: contact carrier female with screw - contacts are all in vertical position D: contact carrier female with nut - contacts are all in vertical position Only A and D match, or B and C. We have the most commonly used 56-pin version in stock. The 90-pin version is available upon request. ![]() 56-pin version (18 channels)
