and a lot further, that is how far the SC-VECTOR PLUS can reach. The special dimensions and design for excessive lengths make this cable perfectly suitable for SDI applications. It is an excellent analog cable: You can transmit video signals over distances of up to 1000 m and as an SDI cable it is suitable for distances of up to 600 m. It can also be used as an HDTV cable, but here the length and the damping values have to be adapted to the unit interfaces.The SC-VECTOR PLUS has excellent shielding made of tin-plated copper braiding and an AL/PT-foil with an opaqueness of 100%. Considering the outer dimensions the cable is very flexible and suitable for winding on a mobile cable drum.
The SC-VECTOR PLUS is either available in a PVC (600-0174) or an FRNC (600-0174F) version.
The range of the HD-SDI depends on the bit rate used (packed or unpacked). At 1.485Gb/s (unpacked) the damping result is drawn at half the bit rate (720 MHz) and the cable length attainable with a damping value of 20 dB or 30 dB is considered to be the relevant parameter.
