ASTRAL-LLX-DH
A Cable with Channel and "stable" Insides
The ASTRAL-LLX-DH is a combination cable combining a CAT5e-cable, a SAT-cable with a damping value of 120 dB, and a centered cable channel for subsequent installation of a LWL-fiber optic cable. This cable design is ideal for installation in buildings with centralized control of all electrical functions.The SAT-cable has a patented construction of carbon shielding around the solid conductor and the insulation, as well as protective polyester foil underneath the outer PVC-jacket. This prevents material fatigue and ensures consistent damping values for many years to come.
Usually, SAT-cables commonly available on the market already loose their good damping values during manufacture and installation. The original, round foam PE-insulation deforms and becomes elliptical and the solid conductor is no longer centered after bending.
The two carbon shields on the ASTRAL-LLX-DH stabilize both the solid conductor and the foam PE-insulation. Thus, the cable maintains its round shape and electrical values, even after installation. With this design SOMMER CABLE has attained the lowest of damping values and a shielding value of 120 dB! The ASTRAL-LLX-DH complies with HD-SDI/HDTV-Standards and is especially suitable for long SAT-receiver installation paths.
